Notification of up-coming classes will appear in the September parish bulletin, or interested parishioners can call Sister Jocelyn at the Adult Faith Formation Office, 785-2333 x 206.
– Classes begin at the beginning of October.
– There are 13-14 sessions which are usually held on Sunday mornings from 10:15 am –11:30 am
– Participants are encouraged to attended Mass before or after the session
The course content covers the sacramental life of the Church and, in particular the Sacrament of Confirmation, and a review of the dogmas and doctrines of our faith, as found in the Nicene Creed which is prayed at Sunday Mass. Prayer is an integral part of each session helping the Candidate to better understand the importance of growing and deepening his/her personal relation with Christ. An opportunity for faith sharing helps the Candidate to integrate what they are hearing into their everyday life experience.
Evening Prayer in preparation for the coming of the Holy Spirit is celebrated on Monday the week before the vigil of Pentecost.
The Candidates who have prepared for reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation will receive Confirmation at the Pentecost Vigil Mass on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
