“They offered unto him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.”
As our Christmas celebrations come to an end, we are filled with joy and much gratitude for the abundance of God’s love manifested through your generosity and concern for the needs of our community and needy parishes and organizations on Long Island’s Suffolk and Nassau Counties.
Through the generous support of you the Parishioners of St. Frances de Chantal, this past Christmas season we were able to distribute Christmas dinner and gifts to the following parishes and organizations: Pronto (Brentwood), Our Holy Redeemer (Freeport), Our Lady of Loretto (Hempstead), St. Martha’s (Uniondale); Wyandanch Home & Property, Consumer Link (servicing seniors and the handicapped), and Boys & Girls Homes in both Nassau and Suffolk. In total, you have given the joy of Christmas to well over 1,000 individuals.
To name a few, I want to thank our generous St. Frances de Chantal parishioners, Faith Formation classes, Small Christian Communities, Inclusion Committee, Wantagh High School, Jonas E. Salk Middle School, the various Daisy, Brownie, Girl Scout, Cub Scout, and Boy Scout Troops, Kiwanis Club, Knights of Columbus and Columbiettes, Church of St. Jude, the Wantagh Inn, Pat Dolan Plumbing, Surburban Bus Company, Douglas Elliman Real Estate, LaMonica, Herbst & Maniscalo, LLP, ASAP Logistics, LTD, Paumanacke Garden Club, the Young Vincentians, Pixie Nursery, St. Dimitris Youth Group and all the various organizations that have expressed such generosity and love.
Please come to the school lobby and read the many thank you letters posted on the PSM bulletin board. Again, thank you to all the volunteers that came into PSM to wrap, pack, and deliver. I want to thank Fr. Seth, the Pastoral Staff, Custodial Staff, and all of the dedicated members of the St. Frances staff for the support that they give the ministry.
Peace and love and may Christmas remain in your hearts all year round.
